Freezin’ for a Reason with Special Olympics DC
Saturday, February 11, 2017
Noon to 4:00pm
The Polar Plunge is a very cool way for the community to come out and show their support for Special Olympics DC. Three above-ground swimming pools will be erected in Nationals Park for plungers to jump in to the cheers of the crowd!
How do I get started?
Visit give.specialolympicsdc.org/polarplunge2017 and click one of the Register buttons:
You can start a team, join a team or participate as an individual. Set up your Personal Plunge Page and you are on your way to Freezin’ for a Reason!
To join in the fun, participants must raise at least $100 and will receive a free t-shirt. Raise more to earn your choice of great gifts, get your plunge on the jumbotron screen, take a photo with a ‘President’ or try your skill in the Nationals’ batting cages!
After your dip you’ll warm up in the two party zones: the Budweiser Brew House and the Centerfield Social. Plungers, family, friends and spectators will enjoy a festive atmosphere with music, refreshments and parades of plungers in costume for all to enjoy.
