Join a community of millions coming together to support Special Olympics athletes:
- Founded in Wichita, Kansas in 1981, the Torch Run seeks to build bridges between law enforcement officers and people with disabilities in their communities.
- Today, over 1 billion has been raised through Torch Runs around the country, all for Special Olympics athletes
- Your run will directly support Special Olympics programming in Washington, D.C.
- Meet and run with local Special Olympics athletes and other inclusive-minded people!
Supporters from all walks of life are welcome to join us in this 5k. All Special Olympics DC athletes are invited to run/walk the race at no cost. Sign up as an individual or create your team today! The $35 registration fee includes the commemorative t-shirt. |
