Polar Plunge
What is the Polar Plunge?

What to expect:
- Participants who raise a minimum of $100 will “take the plunge” into an ice cold above ground pool to get freezin’ for a reason!
- There’s also a Virtual Plunge option. Take a dip in the snow, a cold water shower or bath, the hose in the backyard or any creative and chilly method at your place. Post the video to raise funds to support our athletes
Too chicken to plunge? You can still make a donation to show your support of Special Olympics DC athletes, or fundraise to sponsor an athlete’s plunge!
When and Where:
February 25, 2023
12 noon – 4 pm at Yards Park
355 Water Street, SE, Washington DC.
Metro: Navy Yard
Why Participate:
Your involvement is critical in helping our athletes to achieve their goals and in showing that our community embraces acceptance and inclusion. Your fundraising makes a real impact in the lives of Special Olympics DC athletes, helping them lead healthier lives and develop valuable life skills.
How do I get started?
Funds raised allow children and adults to participate in Special Olympics DC year-round programs, so let’s help them get in the game!
