How to Participate:
Run or Walk
Participate in the 5K and receive a commemorative event t-shirt and post-race lunch.
Support the Cause
Purchase an event t-shirt to show your support if you can’t attend.
Join or Start a Team
Create a team with coworkers, friends, or your agency—or join an existing one and fundraise together.
The Torch Run for Special Olympics engages law enforcement worldwide championing acceptance and inclusion for people with intellectual disabilities, starting first with their own communities. In the District, funds raised through this event help provide year-round sports, health and inclusion programs free of charge to DC residents. These programs are essential in helping Special Olympics DC athletes lead healthier lives and develop valuable skills that help them succeed and become self-advocates.
